Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ¾ cup milk or buttermilk
  • ½ pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 large eggs, scrambled
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Add milk gradually while stirring until dough forms, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Fold in sausage, eggs, cheese, and green onions until mixed.
  5. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, flatten slightly, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
