Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- ¾ cup milk or buttermilk
- ½ pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 large eggs, scrambled
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
- Add milk gradually while stirring until dough forms, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in sausage, eggs, cheese, and green onions until mixed.
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheet, flatten slightly, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
