Deliciously warm and sweet apple fritter bites that are perfect for snacks, brunch, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with extra powdered sugar, maple syrup, or vanilla glaze. They can be stored at room temperature for 2 days or frozen for up to a month.
