Description

Delicious cheese balls filled with bacon, jalapenos, and cream cheese, perfect for parties or as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup Green onions, chopped
  • 2 Jalapenos, finely diced
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crumbled bacon, garlic powder, green onions, diced jalapenos, onion powder, eggs, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add the cheddar cheese and softened cream cheese to the bowl and mix until fully combined.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Roll each ball into breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium heat.
  6. Fry the cheese balls in small batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Use cooled bacon to prevent the mixture from being too wet. Chill the mixture for easier shaping.
