Description
Delicious cookie bites with the flavors of Boston cream pie, topped with vanilla custard and chocolate frosting.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vanilla custard
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy and light.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, generously pipe or spread the vanilla custard over the tops of the cookies and drizzle with chocolate frosting.
- Let the cookies set before indulging!
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the plain baked cookies without custard for up to 1 month.
