Description

A delightful fusion of creamy avocado, juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and fragrant basil on toasted bread, drizzled with balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of whole-grain or sourdough bread
  • 1 large tomato or a handful of cherry tomatoes
  • 100g fresh mozzarella
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread until golden brown and crisp.
  2. Prepare the avocado by cutting it in half, removing the pit, and mashing or slicing it.
  3. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella just before assembling.
  4. Tear the basil leaves by hand.
  5. Spread the avocado onto each slice of toast.
  6. Layer the tomatoes on top of the avocado.
  7. Add the mozzarella on top of the tomatoes.
  8. Top with torn basil leaves.
  9. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and pepper.
