Ingredients
- 500 g apples, peeled and chopped
- 220 g vanilla wafer crumbs
- 57 g melted butter (salted or unsalted)
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped apples with cinnamon and set aside to let those flavors mingle.
- In another bowl, combine the vanilla wafer crumbs with the melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
- Press this crumb mixture into the bottom of your serving cups to create a delicious little crust.
- Fill the cups generously with the cinnamon-spiced apples.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are tender and aromatic.
- Once cooled slightly, add a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Notes
For best results, use firm apples that hold their shape when baked. You can also experiment with different flavor variations.
