Caramel Chocolate Cookie Cups

Description

Delicious bite-sized cookie cups filled with warm caramel and topped with dark chocolate and a sprinkle of sea salt.


Ingredients

  • 280 g ready-to-use sugar cookie dough
  • 310 g caramel bits
  • 280 g semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 sprinkle sea salt flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a muffin tin with light oil or butter.
  3. Press sugar cookie dough into the bottom and up the sides of each muffin cup.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for 5–7 minutes in the tin.
  6. In a saucepan over low heat, combine caramel bits and water until smooth.
  7. Spoon caramel into each cookie cup, filling about three-quarters full.
  8. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or double boiler, then drizzle over the caramel.
  9. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes while chocolate is still warm.
  10. Let cool completely before serving.
