Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: pickles for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package directions, then drain it well.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion over medium heat, stirring until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, beef mixture, milk, ketchup, mustard, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until hot throughout and the cheese on top is bubbly and golden.
- Optional: Add pickles on top before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Cook pasta al dente, drain excess fat from the beef, and use freshly shredded cheese for better melt and flavor.
