Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, use ground turkey instead of chicken. You can also add vegetables like finely chopped bell peppers or zucchini to the mixture.
