Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, use ground turkey instead of chicken. You can also add vegetables like finely chopped bell peppers or zucchini to the mixture.
