Description
Soft, sweet bars that capture the flavor of cinnamon rolls, baked quickly and cut into squares.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar until creamy.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then mix together the powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze and drizzle over the bars.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a stronger cinnamon taste, add a little more cinnamon to the dry mix. Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.
