Description

A simple, creamy, and slightly spicy pasta that cooks quick and pleases kids and adults.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes (diced tomatoes with green chilies)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat, draining any excess fat.
  3. Add Rotel tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; stir and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, mix well, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the cooked pasta and shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and cheese is melted. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, top with chopped green onions or a dollop of sour cream.
