Description
Crispy, cheesy, and simple baked chicken breasts featuring Italian herbs and Parmesan. A perfect weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 1 tsp Basil, dried
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Oregano, dried
- 2 Eggs, large
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Olive oil spray
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, followed by grated Parmesan cheese.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and spray lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
- Serve hot with your choice of pasta, salad, or vegetables.
Notes
Pound the chicken to even thickness for even cooking. Let the chicken rest for 3-5 minutes after baking to keep it juicy.
