Description

Ingredients

  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Caramel sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 cups light packed Brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup Heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel sauce gently.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among the three prepared pans.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
  10. Once cool, frost the cake with a mixture of powdered sugar and heavy cream or your preferred frosting.

Store leftover cake in an airtight container. Keep at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
