Crispy wontons filled with a rich blend of cream cheese and crab meat, traditionally served hot for the best flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz crab meat (or imitation crab)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  2. Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrappers with water, fold them into triangles, and seal tightly.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the wontons in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

For best results, serve immediately after frying to enjoy the crispy texture.
