Description
Crispy wontons filled with a rich blend of cream cheese and crab meat, traditionally served hot for the best flavor and texture.
Ingredients
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz crab meat (or imitation crab)
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wrappers with water, fold them into triangles, and seal tightly.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the wontons in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
Notes
For best results, serve immediately after frying to enjoy the crispy texture.
