Description
A delightful cake combining rich chocolate and nutty pistachio flavors, perfect for any celebration.
Ingredients
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon
- 3/4 cup unsweetened Cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups Dark chocolate
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup White chocolate chips
- 2 tsp Neutral oil
- 3/4 cup Olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups Kataifi pastry
- 2 tbsp unsalted Butter
- 3/4 cup Heavy cream
- 3/4 cup Pistachio butter
- 1 cup Whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and honey until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt together.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Melt the dark chocolate and mix with vanilla extract and oils. Stir this into the cake batter until smooth.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips and pistachio butter.
- Layer kataifi pastry at the bottom of the prepared pan and pour the batter over it.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Whip the heavy cream with melted butter for the frosting. Spread it on the cooled cake.
- Garnish with crushed pistachios before serving.
Notes
For a beautiful finish, garnish with crushed pistachios. Store cake in an airtight container for up to three days.
