Description
Classic Italian stuffed shells filled with creamy ricotta and fresh spinach, baked in marinara sauce for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- Fresh herbs like basil or parsley
- 2 cups Fresh spinach
- 1 Egg
- 1 jar Marinara sauce
- 12 jumbo Pasta shells
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Ricotta cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Mix together the ricotta cheese, fresh spinach, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the ricotta and spinach mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the baking dish open side up.
- Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle with mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
