Description

A quick and comforting dish, Fried Cabbage combines smoky bacon, sweet onions, and tender cabbage for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon for 3–6 minutes until browned and crispy.
  2. Remove bacon and reserve drippings for cooking.
  3. Sauté the diced onion in the drippings for 3–5 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until glossy.
  5. Add chopped cabbage, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Return bacon to the skillet, mix, and serve hot.

Notes

Use a wide skillet for even cooking and keep the heat at medium to avoid burning. Adjust seasoning to taste, especially salt.
