Description

Delightful bite-sized snacks capturing the essence of the holiday season with flavors of ginger, cinnamon, and cream cheese, coated in rich chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed gingerbread cookies
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 8 oz chocolate (for coating)
  • Festive sugar or additional spices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the crushed gingerbread cookies, cream cheese, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Chill the rolled truffles in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  5. Dip each chilled truffle in the melted chocolate, coating thoroughly.
  6. Place the coated truffles back on the baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle with festive sugar or additional spices while the chocolate is still soft.
  8. Allow to set and then store in the fridge until ready to serve or gift.

Notes

Use fresh spices for a stronger flavor and experiment with different types of chocolate for the coating.
