Description

This simple pizza sauce uses tomato paste and Penzey’s pizza seasoning for a fresh, quick alternative to store-bought varieties.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Penzey’s pizza seasoning
  • Water, as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine tomato paste, Penzey’s pizza seasoning, and a little water in a bowl.
  2. Mix until smooth and adjust the seasoning to taste.
  3. Spread a thin, even layer on pizza dough before adding cheese and toppings.
  4. Store the remaining sauce in a clean jar or container in the fridge.

Notes

Start with a small amount of water and add more until the texture is right. Blend briefly for a smoother sauce. Freeze in small portions for longer storage.
