Description

Quick and flavorful Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs with a sweet and spicy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken thighs, boneless skinless
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 inch Ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup Green onions, sliced
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 1 large Red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large Yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 cup Rice, cooked
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, Sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add onions and bell peppers, cook until softened.
  4. Push veggies to the side and add chicken thighs to the pan. Cook until browned on both sides.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, bringing it to a simmer.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a bit of water to make a slurry. Add to the pan and stir until sauce thickens.
  7. Serve over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry before cooking for better browning. Adjust sauce ingredients to your taste.
