Ingredients
- 4 Chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 Yellow onion, medium
- 2 cups Chicken broth, low-sodium
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce, low-sodium
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Heavy cream
Instructions
- In a large bowl, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and paprika.
- Dredge the seasoned chicken in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add the chicken. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Pour in chicken broth and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Stir in heavy cream, adjust seasoning if necessary, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Notes
Serve hot with biscuits or cornbread, and store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
