A fun and tasty twist on regular chicken, featuring a crunchy pretzel coating and a rich mustard-cheddar sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 cup Mustard-cheddar sauce
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups Pretzels
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Crush the pretzels into fine crumbs and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix with mustard and milk.
- Dip each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with crushed pretzels.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat the mustard-cheddar sauce until warm.
- Serve the pretzel chicken with the sauce drizzled on top and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Notes
Make sure to crush the pretzels finely for better adhesion. You can add your favorite herbs or spices to the flour mixture for extra flavor.
