Description
Crispy prosciutto wrapped around creamy mozzarella balls, these bites are a perfect appetizer for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 package prosciutto
- 1 package mozzarella balls (about 12 oz)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Separate the prosciutto slices and lay them flat on a clean surface.
- Drain the mozzarella balls and cut them in half if large.
- Place one mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice and wrap the prosciutto around it.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and stir in oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper for 30 seconds.
- Brush the seasoned oil over each wrapped mozzarella ball.
- Arrange the wrapped bites on the baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until prosciutto is crispy.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
