Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites

Description

Crispy prosciutto wrapped around creamy mozzarella balls, these bites are a perfect appetizer for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 package prosciutto
  • 1 package mozzarella balls (about 12 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Separate the prosciutto slices and lay them flat on a clean surface.
  3. Drain the mozzarella balls and cut them in half if large.
  4. Place one mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice and wrap the prosciutto around it.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and stir in oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper for 30 seconds.
  6. Brush the seasoned oil over each wrapped mozzarella ball.
  7. Arrange the wrapped bites on the baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until prosciutto is crispy.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil if desired.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
