Description

A rich and creamy baked dish featuring crab meat and cheeses stuffed into jumbo pasta shells, served with marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz lump crab meat
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine the lump crab meat, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well blended.
  4. Carefully stuff each pasta shell with the seafood mixture.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the dish and cover them with the rest of the marinara sauce.
  7. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with a side of salad or bread. Can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated.
