Description

Learn how to create perfect caramel-coated apples with the right technique and tips for both cold and room-temperature apples.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized apples
  • 2 cups caramel candies
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Optional toppings (chopped nuts, chocolate drizzle, cinnamon sugar)

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples thoroughly to remove any wax residue.
  2. Dry the apples completely with a towel.
  3. Insert sticks firmly into the core of each apple.
  4. For quicker setting, chill the apples in the fridge for 20-30 minutes if desired.
  5. Melt the caramel candies with 1 tablespoon of water in a microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
  6. Let the caramel cool slightly before dipping the apples.
  7. Dip each apple into the caramel, allowing excess to drip off.
  8. Place the coated apples on parchment paper and optionally add toppings.

Notes

Store caramel apples in a cool, dry place. Avoid refrigerating to prevent moisture buildup.
