Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- Colorful sprinkles for decoration
- Icing (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and almond extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Flatten the balls slightly and press sprinkles on top.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack before adding icing if desired.
Notes
For the best results, use room-temperature butter and weigh ingredients for consistency.
