Description

A luscious no-bake dessert combining angel food cake, strawberry pie filling, vanilla pudding, and whipped topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought or homemade angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 can of strawberry pie filling (21 oz)
  • 1 package of vanilla instant pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 1 1/2 cups of cold milk
  • 1 container of whipped topping (8 oz, such as Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • Fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Angel Food Cake by cutting it into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, then fold in the sour cream.
  3. Layer half of the cake cubes in a 9×13-inch baking dish, followed by half of the pie filling and half of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layering process.
  4. Spread whipped topping over the assembled dessert and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Notes

Using fresh strawberries for garnish enhances the dessert’s flavor. Try homemade angel food cake for better freshness.
