Description
A luscious no-bake dessert combining angel food cake, strawberry pie filling, vanilla pudding, and whipped topping.
Ingredients
- 1 store-bought or homemade angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 can of strawberry pie filling (21 oz)
- 1 package of vanilla instant pudding mix (3.4 oz)
- 1 1/2 cups of cold milk
- 1 container of whipped topping (8 oz, such as Cool Whip)
- 1 cup of sour cream
- Fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Angel Food Cake by cutting it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, then fold in the sour cream.
- Layer half of the cake cubes in a 9×13-inch baking dish, followed by half of the pie filling and half of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layering process.
- Spread whipped topping over the assembled dessert and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Notes
Using fresh strawberries for garnish enhances the dessert’s flavor. Try homemade angel food cake for better freshness.
