Description

A cheesy baked side dish made with sweet onions and a blend of three types of cheese, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 sweet onions
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the sweet onions into rings.
  3. In a baking dish, layer the onion rings.
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the onions.
  5. Layer the mozzarella, parmesan, and provolone cheeses on top of the onions.
  6. Dot the mixture with butter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the onions are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbling.
  8. Serve hot as a side dish.

Notes

Use Vidalia onions for the best flavor. Consider adding garlic powder or paprika for extra taste.
