Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease lightly.
  2. Prepare the Brownie Batter: Melt the butter, whisk in the sugars, then add eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, and salt. Combine with wet ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Prepare the Cheesecake Layer: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, vanilla, and sour cream; mix until smooth.
  4. Assemble the Dessert: Pour two-thirds of the brownie batter into the pan. Spoon cheesecake layer over it, then dollop remaining brownie batter and swirl.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool completely in the pan, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Slice into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.
