Description
Indulge in a comforting bowl of Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta with Broccoli. Succulent shrimp, fresh broccoli, and a rich Alfredo sauce make this dish both satisfying and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cups of fresh broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add reserved pasta water as needed to thin the sauce.
- Return pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Add the cooked shrimp and combine well. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Don’t overcook the shrimp to keep them tender, and always save some pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
