Description

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups of fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli. Drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add reserved pasta water as needed to thin the sauce.
  4. Return pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Add the cooked shrimp and combine well. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Enjoy!
