Description

A warm, gooey dish featuring layers of creamy bechamel, tangy tomato sauce, and melting cheese, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups bechamel sauce
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Homemade breadsticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a baking dish, layer the bechamel sauce at the bottom, followed by a layer of tomato sauce.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the sauces.
  4. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Repeat the layers if desired, finishing with a layer of cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve hot with homemade breadsticks.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the tomato layer and use pepper jack cheese.
