Deliciously sweet and slightly salty, these Salted Honey Cinnamon Cookies are easy to make and perfect for any time of day.
Ingredients
- 1 large Egg
- 3/4 cup Honey
- 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Butter, unsalted
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the unsalted butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg, honey, and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Soften the butter to room temperature for easy mixing and avoid overmixing after adding flour. Watch the baking time for desired softness or crispness.
