Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
- In another bowl, mix the butter and sugars until creamy, then add the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in the mashed bananas.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
Cut into squares and serve at room temperature. They pair well with vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Frozen squares can be stored for up to 2 months.
