Ingredients
  

For the salmon
  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For coating the salmon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt For seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper For seasoning
For the bang bang sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt or avocado
  • 2 tbsp Sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Adjust to taste for spiciness
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
For garnish
  • 2 tbsp Green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds Toasted for added crunch
  • 1 pieces Lime, cut into wedges For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, honey (or maple syrup), lime juice (or rice vinegar), Sriracha, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and salt to create the bang bang sauce.
  3. Coat the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Spread a generous amount of the bang bang sauce over each fillet.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Make sure not to overbake the salmon to prevent it from becoming dry. It's also great as leftovers or served cold. If you have leftovers, let them cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through. Do not freeze as it may alter the texture of the salmon.
