  • 1 cup beef cubes or steak bites Opt for grass-fed beef for richer flavor.
  • 1 cup cooked rice Day-old rice works best for frying.
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, cabbage) Use vibrant veggies for color and nutrition.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce For gluten-free, substitute with tamari.
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp oil For frying.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Adds aroma and flavor.
  • 1 egg (optional) Adds richness to the rice.
  • to taste Salt & black pepper Season according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat oil in a pan until shimmering.
  2. Add beef cubes or steak bites. Sear until browned, about 3 minutes.
  3. Toss in minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they are crisp-tender.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and oyster sauce, tossing everything to combine well.
Frying the Rice
  1. In a separate hot pan, add a splash of oil and the cooked rice.
  2. Stir-fry the rice with an egg until lightly golden.
Serving
  1. Plate the beef and veggies beside the fried rice. Enjoy hot.

Notes

For best results, serve with spring rolls or a cucumber salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
