Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded mounds of dough onto ungreased baking sheets using a tablespoon.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set, but the centers are still soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For longer storage, freeze cookies in a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature or warm in a low oven for a few minutes.
