Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 500 g all-purpose flour Provides the structure for the rolls
  • 10 g salt Enhances flavor and strengthens gluten
  • 300 ml warm water Activates the yeast for better rise
  • 10 g sugar Feeds the yeast and adds a slight sweetness
  • 7 g instant yeast The key for fluffy, airy rolls
  • 25 g unsalted butter Adds richness and flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Create a well in the center, then pour in warm water and melted butter. Mix until a rough dough forms.
  3. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough, then divide it into equal portions. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a lined baking tray.
  6. Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes until puffy.
  7. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  8. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use instant yeast for better results; monitor water temperature; steam in the oven for a crusty finish.
