- Combine finely crushed graham crackers and melted butter in a mixing bowl until well combined, then press into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the butterscotch pudding mix and milk until it thickens.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully blended.
- Pour the butterscotch filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours to set.
- Before serving, add chocolate shavings or drizzle chocolate sauce on top.
Notes
Press the crust firmly to hold together. Use cold milk for faster thickening. Chill longer for a firmer pie. Nuts should be added last for crunch.
