Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped apples with cinnamon and set aside to let those flavors mingle.
- In another bowl, combine the vanilla wafer crumbs with the melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
- Press this crumb mixture into the bottom of your serving cups to create a delicious little crust.
- Fill the cups generously with the cinnamon-spiced apples.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce all over the apples for extra sweetness.
Baking
- Pop them in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are tender and fragrant.
- Once they’re out of the oven and cooled just a bit, crown each cup with a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Let cups cool fully and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a warm oven for a few minutes if you want them warm again. Use firm apples for best results and cut them in even pieces for consistent cooking.
