Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Cups
  • 280 g ready-to-use sugar cookie dough Choose a brand with real butter or make your own.
  • 2 tablespoons water To help melt the caramel.
  • 1 sprinkle sea salt flakes For finishing touch.
For the Filling
  • 310 g caramel bits Choose soft caramel chips for best melting.
  • 280 g semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips Use chocolate with at least 50–60% cocoa for good flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a muffin tin lightly with oil or butter.
  3. Press sugar cookie dough into the bottom and up the sides of each muffin cup.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  2. Remove from oven and let cool slightly for 5–7 minutes.
Filling
  1. In a saucepan over low heat, combine caramel bits and water until smooth.
  2. Spoon caramel into each cookie cup, filling about three-quarters full.
Topping
  1. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the caramel.
  2. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes while the chocolate is still warm.
Serving
  1. Let cool completely before serving.
