  • 1 can flaky crescent rolls Usually contains 8 triangles
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Semi-sweet or milk chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash (optional) For a shiny finish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate them into triangles.
  3. Place a few chocolate chips at the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Roll up each triangle starting at the wide end and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Optional: Brush the tops with a beaten egg for shine.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the tops.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store cooled crescents in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze unbaked crescents up to 1 month. For reheating, use the oven for best results.
