Ingredients
  

For the cinnamon sugar egg wash
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar for mixing with cinnamon
For the pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry Keep it cold until rolling out
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted for brushing
  • 1 Powdered sugar for dusting after baking

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the puff pastry package instructions.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the egg and mix with ground cinnamon and granulated sugar.
  4. Brush the mixture over the puff pastry.
  5. Cut the pastry into strips and twist them into spirals.
Baking
  1. Melt the butter and brush it over the twisted pastry.
  2. Bake in the oven until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. They go well with coffee, tea, or milk. For a fuller snack, consider pairing with cinnamon banana chia pudding or fresh fruit. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
