Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it is well softened for easy mixing
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/4 cup everything seasoning Adjust to taste
For the Tortillas
  • 4 large flour tortillas Don’t overfill to make them easier to roll
  • Oil for frying Use enough oil to submerge the bites
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish, optional) Garnish if desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and shredded cheese until well combined.
  2. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla.
  3. Sprinkle everything seasoning over the top.
  4. Roll the tortillas tightly and slice them into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the bites until golden brown on each side.
  3. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving
  1. Serve warm and optionally garnish with sliced green onions.
  2. Pair with a side of salsa or sour cream for dipping.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let them cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in a pan or microwave.
