Ingredients

For the Beef Skewers
  • 2 lbs beef sirloin, cut into cubes Look for sirloin with good marbling for flavor and tenderness.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 6 pieces wooden skewers, soaked in water Ensure skewers are soaked long enough to prevent burning.
For the Fries
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
  • Vegetable oil, for frying Heat to medium-high for frying.
For the Salad
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 large red onion, thinly sliced

Method

Marinating the Beef
  1. In a bowl, blend the beef cubes, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Preparing the Skewers
  1. Thread the marinated beef onto the soaked skewers, leaving gaps for even cooking.
Cooking the Fries
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the potato strips until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
Grilling the Skewers
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the beef skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally for even charring.
Assembling the Plate
  1. Serve the grilled skewers alongside the crispy fries and top with a fresh garden salad.
