Ingredients

For the Steak
  • 500 g beef steak (cubed) Try cuts like sirloin or ribeye for best results.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Substitute with tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Consider using flavored gourmet olive oil.
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced) Adding fresh ginger enhances flavor.
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
For the Fries and Salad
  • 4 large potatoes (cut into fries)
  • 2 cups lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh mint for garnish

Method

Marinate the Beef
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cubed beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Let the beef sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Prepare the Fries
  1. Wash and cut the potatoes into strips for fries. Cook them in hot oil or bake in an oven preheated to 220°C (425°F) until crispy and golden.
Cook the Steak
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook it for about 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
Add the Peppers
  1. Add the sliced bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes until they are tender yet slightly crisp.
Prepare the Salad
  1. In a large bowl, toss together the lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and lemon juice.
Assemble the Dish
  1. Pack crispy fries into a box, layer the pepper steak on top, and add the fresh salad. Garnish with fresh mint.
Serve
  1. Serve immediately, keeping fries separate until serving to maintain their crunch.
