Preparation
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in diced strawberries.
- Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wonton with water and fold over to seal.
Frying
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Fry the stuffed wontons until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serving
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
- Serve warm, optionally with a small bowl of chocolate or berry sauce for dipping.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. Eat within 2 days for best texture. Reheat in a hot oven for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
