Ingredients
  

Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup cream cheese Use cold cream cheese for better shaping
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced Fresh strawberries can be substituted with thawed frozen strawberries
Wonton Wrappers and Frying
  • 20 pieces wonton wrappers
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting Dust before serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Fold in diced strawberries.
  3. Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wonton with water and fold over to seal.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the stuffed wontons until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Serving
  1. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  2. Serve warm, optionally with a small bowl of chocolate or berry sauce for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. Eat within 2 days for best texture. Reheat in a hot oven for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
