Cooking Bacon
- Cook the bacon over medium heat for 3–6 minutes until browned and crisp. Reserve drippings.
Sautéing Onions
- Remove bacon and sauté the diced onion in the reserved drippings for 3–5 minutes until translucent and slightly browned.
Cooking Garlic and Cabbage
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until glossy. Then add chopped cabbage, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook for about 10 minutes.
Final Mix
- Stir occasionally until the cabbage is tender. Return bacon to the skillet, mix well, and serve hot.
Notes
For best results use a wide skillet and keep heat at medium. Adjust seasoning toward the end and enjoy slight crunch from bacon.
