Ingredients

For the Garlic Beef Bites
  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized cubes Choose a sirloin that is bright red with minimal marbling for the best texture.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For marinating the beef.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced For flavoring the beef.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Check for gluten-free options.
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
For the Yellow Rice
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp curry powder
  • 4 cups chicken broth Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
  • 1 tbsp butter
For the Garden Salad
  • 2 cups lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 0.5 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For dressing the salad.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Adds brightness to the salad.

Method

Marination
  1. Toss the beef cubes in a bowl with olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
Cooking the Yellow Rice
  1. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook until the rice is tender.
Searing the Beef Bites
  1. Heat a skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until caramelized and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Preparing the Salad
  1. In a large bowl, toss together chopped lettuce, cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced bell peppers. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice before serving.
Assembling the Plate
  1. Serve the garlic beef bites alongside a dome of fluffy yellow rice and a generous helping of garden salad.

Notes

For best results, marinate the beef longer if possible. Store salad ingredients separately to maintain freshness. You can replace beef with marinated tofu or tempeh for a vegetarian option.
