Ingredients
  

For the steak
  • 1 piece steak (ribeye or sirloin) Choose a high-quality steak for better flavor.
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • to taste Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Don't overcrowd the pan when searing the steak.
For the side dishes
  • 2 cups cooked white rice White rice is traditional, but jasmine or basmati can be used.
  • 2 pieces eggs, boiled Boil to your liking.
  • 1 cup Mixed greens (lettuce)
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots Experiment with adding different veggies for extra crunch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by seasoning the steak with salt and pepper.
  2. In a hot pan, sear the steak in olive oil until it forms a crust.
  3. In the same pan, add the butter, garlic, and onions, cooking until they turn golden.
  4. Prepare the rice until it’s fluffy and boil the eggs to your liking.
  5. In a bowl, toss together the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and shredded carrots.
Serving
  1. Serve the steak topped with the garlic onions alongside the rice, boiled eggs, and salad.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat steak in a skillet and microwave rice and salad until heated through. Salad is best eaten fresh. For a variation, you can use chicken or shrimp instead of steak.
