For the Chicken
  • 6 pieces chicken drumsticks Look for drumsticks with a healthy color and firm texture.
  • 1 tbsp paprika Consider smoked paprika for deeper flavor.
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter Can substitute with olive oil for dairy-free option.
For the Fries
  • 3 large potatoes, cut into thick fries Choose heavy potatoes without blemishes.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Salad
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cucumber sliced
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 red onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp chili sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat the chicken drumsticks well with the seasoning. Let it rest for a few minutes.
Roasting the Chicken
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the seasoned drumsticks on a baking tray. Bake for 35-40 minutes, brushing with melted butter halfway through.
Cooking the Fries
  1. Wash and cut the potatoes into thick fries. Toss them in olive oil, salt, and paprika. Bake or fry until crispy and golden-brown.
Preparing the Salad & Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced cucumber, chopped tomatoes, sliced onion, and lettuce. Toss gently. For the dipping sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, and chili sauce until smooth.
Serving
  1. On a large platter, arrange the roasted drumsticks, crispy fries, and fresh salad. Serve with the dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or frozen for 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight to reheat.
